Still here...

Haven't posted much the past week or so, but I did spend some time here today re-reading old threads, getting a great chuckle, and in general basking in some very dear memories. Melancholy, but a necessary part of the process I think. I'm really glad we had this place, even if it never did become terribly popular or even if many of the jokes and stories didn't always make sense to new people...they made sense to me.

Yeah, I've know for a bit, that's why I felt like coming here today. I'm glad that we still can go back and read some of the stuff he wrote. It helps.

I often wondered why Forgface wasn't around here anymore. Its just such a shame.

I've had a really rough time dealing with this the past few days. Decided to click on this old link today and saw there were posts today.

I haven't even poked around yet, but I'm already emotional.

Even though its been quiet for months, it seems emptier than ever.
The memories are good, but with them comes the realisation, and I dont know if I could handle that

I agree. I have never met him, and I am certainly not very emotional, and yet I still feel a hole somewhere. Like this place wont be the same again.

I was worried that the board would be removed due to inactivity, meaning a huge amount of preserved memories of him would be lost, it is of great relief to see they are still here!

When Jonathan told me on Wednesday I had to go outside for air. I never realised the impact he had until after he was gone.

I have a forum like this which has been empty and unused for months, and it is still there. I think this one will stay for a pretty long time if we keep posting.

Still, what RedCleft says, we should back it up in case it does get locked down.

I'm sure I'm not the only one reading a lot of old posts here and at iratA. It's easy for some things to get buried in threads so it would be nice to collect some links etc of some good memories of Steve so that we can reminded of the good times we had.

Today is Forg's birthday.

I was rather surprised at the number of people posting birthday wishes on his Facebook page that I don't think know that he passed away yet... Then again I think he is out there somewhere laughing his head off at what some people write not knowing that he did! But it's nice to see so many people offering their wishes, whether they know what happened or not. I think the true judging of a person is by how many others you affect, how you may have enriched their lives, and how you are remembered.

Talking of facebook, I recently got it and I must say I am unimpressed...

Facebook is what you make it. Get talking to loads of people and share pics and stuff and it becomes soo fun

Silly Hedge! You need to start off slow and take babysteps...try to find a person or two who can "tolerates me for a short time". It will be tough I know, but there's got to be SOMEBODY out there who'd do it...maybe offer money?
