Evil of the Phantom

Deep in Shadywood lies a manor house. Not any ordinary house though.

Inside, a great evil, a Phantom, lies in wait. It can't wait to invite you into the house, but you might not be leaving alive.


This is a rollercoaster thrill ride based upon the characters and rough premise of the Phantom Manor ride in Disneyland Paris and my previous interpretation of that ride. I started a thread for this before the forum move, but thought I'd post the best update pics to start off with on this new one.

Very atmospheric, I love the red moon beams (?) on the lifthill (?), and I like the exterior on the 3rd screen...what did you use for your fences?

Thank you very much Mr. Bear. I used Thiery's Phantom Manor set for those fences. They look lovely, but they aren't variable enough to use for the whole exterior fencing.

I suspected that but wasn't sure. True, they are pretty specific just to his version of the Manor, but they do look nice there.

I chose to change the Manor exterior to reflect the alternative location. This is the ride as I'd imagined it in a fictional Disneyland in the Uk (we can dream ), so it's themed to a British Mansion.

I thought you didn't use CS?

Either way, it looks fantastic! The lighting and particle effects are great as always!

I do now, I finally reached the end of my tether with trying to get by using unruly and irritating scenery. The practice, however, really helped me use CS better.

That lighting on the lift hill... I've never seen anything like it! Very, very impressive.

I'm not fussed with the gates though, to be honest. The rest of the building looks so grand so the very basic gates are letting it down. Perhaps try gates like the ones used HERE?

Keep it up, this one has me interested!

I too am impressed with the effects on the lift hill. In addition, the colours used in the underworld section are inspired.

You have to say A T A R I in the link instead of irata, then it works.

Love the lighting, the first screen looks almost like a mouth and eyes there!

Heth, I just love that atmosphere you've created. I just hope you can keep up the standard of lighting without making it look tacky. At the moment, you've got the perfect balance.

Looks great Heth, nice work. I can't wait for this to come out. Definitely, your finest work as you mentioned on the show.

The lighting is probably my favorite part, it really draws you in and therefore can help you in a lot of ways when telling your story.

I wish I was half as good as you are at this game superb ride. From beginning to end the surprises are amazing well themed well lighted.

I have to say, this is one of the most well thought out rides i've seen a while Heth, i loved all the affects with the ride and the fact that you got those mix master's spot onn ( they can take a long time to get perfect, making and filming). 10/10 for me, just superb
